The River Cities Alliance (RCA) Challenge on Rejuvenating Urban Rivers, a Program anchored by the National Mission for Clean Ganga (NMCG) and implemented through the National Institute of Urban Affairs (NIUA), invites RCA member cities to move from planning to action on the ground by designing and piloting innovative, context-specific solutions for urban river management.
Selected cities will receive 100% grant support of up to ₹10 crore or ₹20 crore, depending on city category, along with technical assistance, expert support, opportunities for convergence and co-financing and national and international visibility for successful projects.
The Challenge aims to enable practical, outcome-oriented and scalable solutions that demonstrate how cities can manage their rivers as environmental, economic and social assets.
The program details and the proposal form/template can be found in the Operational Guidelines of the program.
Online Open-House discussions with the Program Team for queries or support for proposal preparation and submission will be conducted every week. Exact date and time and meeting link will be shared subsequently.
