About the Event

The River Cities Alliance successfully concluded a two-day Training-cum-Workshop that brought together over 60 officials from 39 cities, making it a highly engaging and impactful gathering.

The workshop opened with a shared vision for people-centric, climate-resilient riverfronts.
Dr. Debolina Kundu (Director, NIUA) emphasised the importance of ecosystem revival in riverfront development projects, while Sh. Dheeraj Joshi (Director (Urban), NMCG) highlighted the value of nature-based and eco-sensitive approaches. Sh. Rajiv Ranjan Mishra (Chief Advisor, W&E vertical, NIUA) later reinforced the need to restore cultural and emotional connections between citizens and their rivers.
